This qualification is ideal if you want to explore the fundamentals of cloud computing, as well as learn the areas that are applicable to the general ICT industry. This course will provide you with the training needed to prepare for entry-level roles in the industry, as well as further study should you decide that you want to specialise in cloud computing.
You'll explore a range of topics that can help you learn basic skills in cloud computing, as well as the core aspects related to the IT field. This can be beneficial if you plan on changing careers or want to get started in the IT industry but have limited experience. You'll help you learn to review and evaluate the range of Cloud options, deployment models, implementation factors and their impact on an organisation. It'll also have you deploying your very first cloud solutions of your own.
Please note: Students who successfully complete the ICT30120 Certificate III Information Technology - Focus on Basic Cloud Computing will receive a certificate for ICT30120 Certificate III in Information Technology, with the focused units of competency outlined in the student’s transcript.

How many hours per week should I dedicate to my course?
We recommend spending at least 12-18 hours per week of study in order to stay on track with your studies. If you wish to complete your course in 12 months it would be approx 18 hours per week, Based on 12 hrs, it may take you up to 18 months to complete a certificate-level qualification.
How quickly you finish a course is also dependent on your existing skills and experience.

AWS Academy Cloud Foundations course inclusion:
Students enrolled in Upskilled’s ICT30120 - Certificate III in Information Technology - Focus on Basic Cloud Computing will be automatically enrolled into the AWS short course once they commence the Upskilled unit: “ICTCLD301 Evaluate characteristics of cloud computing solutions and services”. Once enrolled students have access for 3 months to complete the modules.

Recognition of Prior Learning / Credit Transfer
You may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer (CT) provided that you have supporting evidence of any prior education and work experience. This can either reduce your study load or shorten the duration of your course. Prior to enrolment, please speak with your Education Consultant for further details.
Following enrolment, you can request further information from Student Support. A trainer will then be assigned to assess your eligibility for RPL and/or CT.
Assessment
This course will have you undertake summative and formative assessments, write reports and/or create a portfolio, and participate in role-playing scenarios. You'll also be working on a variety of projects that require your own research as well as answering various written/oral questions that apply the theory you learn into practice.
The AWS Certification exam is a proctored exam which is booked through Pearson VUE, and is separate to this qualification.
